Creating a Guest List
1
Always Think About The Budget
Creating a guest list can be difficult. It is vital to control your guest list, per your budget and numbers. Take the time to plan ahead, invite people that are the most important to you and your family. Here are some tips:
2
Set Goals and Stick to Them!
Your budget will lead how big your event will be. You can draft out a list of each person you wish to be part of the special day, realistically you may ended with a double number of guest, keep on mind the average price per guest can be $85 to $100 or more.
3
Backup Guest List!
Decide what is more important to you, more guests or a specific venue. This mean select the right venue that comfortably accommodates the number of guest you have on your list. Don’t ry to “squeeze” in a few more!
Assume that a percentage of your guests will not attend, usually 10%, so you can invite those you left behind at the beginning in order of priority. This is why once you send the invitations; you should add a RSVP deadline, you can always add that favorite 2nd cousin at the last minute.
4
Allowing Guest to Bring a Plus 1 or Children
Assume that a percentage of your guests will not attend, usually 10%, so you can invite those you left behind at the beginning in order of priority. This is why once you send the invitations; you should add a RSVP deadline, you can always add that favorite 2nd cousin at the last minute.
5
Guest Seating
Always decide this in advance! Consider that your single guests may ask to bring a Plus 1 and parents may want to bring children. Count how many have children and how many of your singles have a Plus 1. Then determine how many children and Plus 1’s you could invite based on your maximum guest list Immediate family and the bridal party should be your first priority and be seated as groups whenever possible, close to the bride & groom. If your event features a lively dance floor and music, consider an arrangement that places your older guests a little further way. However make sure they can see properly the head table and dance floor.
